Pentru ca aceasta morfologie a (ne)vinovatiei sa fie pe cat de ampla, pe atat de originala, ne-am indreptat de multe ori atentia asupra anonimelor care au fost victime ale comunismului, ori s-au aflat in ipostaze si mai complexe decat atat. Dat fiind ca femei precum Elisabeta Rizea sau Lucretia Jurj, de pilda, sunt deja personaje consacrate ale rezistentei anticomuniste, am incercat sa descoperim si sa le alaturam alte biografii, asemanatoare sau diferite. Ne-am straduit sa completam universul represiunii comuniste cu nume, date si subiecte noi. Acum, la final de calatorie, credem ca asteptarile ne-au fost implinite, iar revelatia cercetarii a fost uimitoare. – Autorii
Primul merit pe care l-as mentiona despre cartea pe care tocmai o tineti in mana este acela ca ea exista. Faptul de a fi fost elaborata, deoarece sa spun ca a fost scrisa este insuficient, ne semnaleaza ca, la peste treizeci de ani de la caderea regimului, comunismul n-a incetat sa preocupe oamenii si institutiile, pe cercetatori si pe cititori. Si ca istoriografia, morfologia, anatomia si functionarea mecanismelor acestui tip de societate totalitara, adica represiva in toate componentele ei, obsedeaza spiritele in maniera unei traume inca nevindecate, a unui trecut care nu trece. – Doina Jela
